PAINTER:

 

The high-quality paint job on a Maintainer truck is what really sets our units apart from the competition. This doesn’t happen by accident: we rely on skilled and knowledgeable industrial/automotive painters in our paint department to put their expertise to use to ensure every one of our customers is happy with the end product.

As a Painter at Maintainer, you can enjoy a steady workflow with a team of other PPG-certified painters. You’ll work in a downdraft paint booth with up-to-date painting equipment and top-of-the-line safety equipment. You’ll participate in training through PPG and stay up-to-date on the latest tools and techniques. We also offer the variety of working on a custom-designed product where no two trucks are exactly alike.

Requirements:
Qualified applicants should have a basic knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques. 2 years prior auto body or industrial painting experience is preferred. The ability to read and understand blueprints is required.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION:

 

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position on our day shift. Working in our install/assembly area, this position is responsible for installation of all 12V wiring components including wiring looms, harnesses, and other electrical components. Qualified applicants should have an understanding of automotive electrical systems and components.

Requirements:
One to two years prior 12V wiring experience is preferred. The ability to read and understand blueprints is required.


GENERAL ASSEMBLY:

 

Assembly - the final phase of our production process. This where a Maintainer truck becomes more than just a truck body. It's where it becomes outfitted with the equipment, materials, and features that our customer needs to do their job.
In this position, you'll be responsible for the installation of all customer-specified products such as: adjustable shelves, air compressors, welders, generators, and a wide range of hydraulic attachments. Since each truck is custom-designed, you'll be supported by a team of Production Specialists, Designers, and Engineers to help you ensure each customer gets exactly what they need.

Requirements:
Qualified applicants should have a basic mechanical knowledge. Prior hydraulic installation/repair experience is preferred, but not required. 1 - 2 years prior experience with automotive electrical and/or hydraulic systems is preferred. The ability to read and understand blueprints and use a tape measure is required.

FABRICATOR:

 

Our Fabrication Department is where we start the physical production of the customer’s truck. It’s the first of several steps to ensure the final product is high quality, durable, and built exactly to the customer’s specifications.

Working with a team of Fabrication experts, you’ll be responsible for operating a wide range of equipment: plasma cutting tables, press brakes, saw, lathe, mill, and a wide range of hand held power tools.

Requirements:
Qualified applicants should have a basic knowledge of metal working and the set-up and operation of metal working machinery. 1 – 2 years prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required. The ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols is required.

DOOR ASSEMBLY:

 

Nearly every truck that comes through Maintainer has compartment doors of various shapes, sizes, and configurations. In the field, the long lasting durability of our compartment doors helps separate our product from the rest of the competition. Our customers appreciate a solid, dependable product that stands the test of time.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for fit-up and adhesion for all compartment doors in the Weld department. Using a state-of-the-art adhesion product, you’ll receive blueprints from our Engineering department and assemble the doors to the exact specifications approved by our customer.

Requirements:
Prior welding experience is preferred, but not required. The ability to read and understand blueprints is required. 


WELDER:

 

The rugged durability and strength of Maintainer’s trucks are due to the knowledge and skills of our welders. A high quality weld is just one of the many reasons customers keep coming back to us.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for fit-up and welding of all the parts that go into a Maintainer truck. Because we design each truck to the exact specifications of our customer, no two trucks are exactly alike. Our Welders enjoy the challenge of using their skills for welding in many positions and on different parts every day.

Requirements:
Qualified applicants should have a basic knowledge of Gas Metal Arc Welding Techniques. 1 – 2 years prior MIG welding experience is preferred, but not required. The ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols is required.


PAINT PREP:

 

A high quality paint job means that the truck looks great today, tomorrow, and for years to come. At Maintainer, we pay very close attention to every detail of our trucks. Nowhere is that more true than when we’re looking the paint.
In this entry-level position, you’ll be responsible for preparing all trucks and parts for entering the paint booth. You will work with a variety of handheld tools including sanders, grinders, needlers, chisels, hammers, and washing equipment. You’ll belong to a team that specializes in de-burring and smoothing every surface on every part and truck that we produce. Your job is the first in a series of steps to ensure our trucks get a world class paint job that our customers deserve.

Requirements:
No prior experience necessary. Prior autobody paint prep experience is preferred, but not required.


ENGINEER/DESIGNER:

 

Due to our high volume of custom truck bodies, we employ many different engineering positions. Our engineers focus on the structural integrity and complex technical aspects of our products. Each person’s duties vary slightly and can be categorized more specifically as research & development, production, value, project, electrical, sales and design. These employees combine their specialized expertise and skills with process control to maintain standards of quality and accuracy. Their work requires technical problem-solving skills and ingenuity using up-to-date 3D modeling and finite element analysis software. Together, they help manufacturing produce premium trucks that fit our customers’ needs.
