Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of ALUMINUM Service Bodies to its lineup. In addition to service body-only models, Maintainer also releases it first aluminum body with telescoping crane. The new series is being released in conjunction with the 2020 CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade show opening today in Las Vegas.
“There are two main reasons customers have been asking for aluminum options,” said Tom Wibben, Director of Sales & Service for Maintainer. “Aluminum saves weight, which allows the users to mount the body on smaller chassis as well as gain payload. Corrosion resistance is the other main advantage of using aluminum.”
Maintainer’s steel service bodies already incorporate a lot of aluminum, from doors and shelving to DuaLock aluminum drawer sets. Still, Maintainer’s new All-Aluminum bodies can still offer 49% weight savings over the comparable steel body.
Maintainer’s initial launch of the Aluminum service body will bear the new Maintainer Signature Series – Aluminum logo. These bodies are only available in one-ton single or dual rear wheel chassis up to 23,500 GVW. The Signature Series Aluminum trucks can be mounted with Maintainer newest line of hydraulic or electric-hydraulic cranes up to 30,000 ft-lbs. The bodies feature 52” standard compartment heights, but can increase to a 60” height on the service body-only model.
“We have not sacrificed quality going to an aluminum option,” says Wibben. “We think customers will be excited about these strong, yet lightweight trucks.”
