2020 Economic Outlook

by Shelley Morris -

There is evidence that the economy is slowing, even though it has not trickled down to affect the work truck industry much. Fiscal Year 2019 orders were down slightly, but still extremely strong when compared to our capacity. It is still in our plan to build more trucks in 2020 with the help of the new facility. At the same time, most economists expect some sort of slow down heading into the election, as uncertainty usually causes a slow down in capital equipment spending.

Nationwide, spending by companies is slowing, so for Maintainer to be investing as we have in equipment and facilities is contrarian to general business trends. I think it speaks to successes we've had in gaining new customers and taking market share, all because you build the best product in the marketplace!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We truly have so much to be thankful for, and I hope that you will enjoy the time away to celebrate with family and friends.  These are very busy times at Maintainer, but we are never too busy to be reminded of how blessed we are.  Every day is a gift in my view, and one for which I am very grateful.
